What We Do

Kew Design/Build began in 1987 to fulfil a need for a professional, design-led, construction company providing all the services needed to build high quality small scale projects. Working mainly in the West London area on extensions and refurbishments, each of our schemes is carefully designed to meet the needs of the individual client and is tailored to the special character of their home. We deal with every stage of the work starting from helping to analyse in detail what the finished project should provide, discussing possible approaches to the design, obtaining statutory approvals, and finally costing and constructing the building right through to the last lick of paint. It is an approach which minimises the disruption and stress often associated with the traditional approach and we have gained a reputation for completing projects to a high standard, on time and on budget.

Who We Are

David Hopwood
Retired (Consultant)

David started the company in 1987 after 13 years in the profession designing many projects from schools to helicopter hangars. The hands-on nature of small scale, highly personal work has given him much job satisfaction ever since then. He still works as an advisor to the company.

Patrick Gebara
Managing Director

Patrick joined the company in 2001 and quickly showed an aptitude for design/build, combining a need for sensitive design and a practical approach to managing work on site. After a spell working abroad gaining some experience in project management Patrick rejoined the company in 2008 and became managing director. He is the person you will be enteracting with and seeing on site.
